Branding
Michele Shortley works with clients to create a cohesive brand that communicates their message. She uses design as a tool to create a consistent look and feel across promotional products. Take a look at some of the branding solutions below.
Strategic Prevention Technical Assistance Center (SPTAC)
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) launched the Strategic Prevention Technical Assistance Center (SPTAC), a new project serving as a national training and technical assistance system for substance misuse prevention efforts. A swirl for the logo was selected to represent the energy of the SPTAC team working collaboratively with their partners.
The Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP)
AGEP launched the 2024-2027 National Research Conference Series project, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and led by Education Development Center (EDC), to institutionalize and sustain initiatives that boost underrepresented minority faculty in STEM. To promote their 25th anniversary and upcoming conferences, AGEP needed a branding package. The logo designs aimed for a celebratory yet STEM oriented feel. The branding package featured a cohesive look for project-related products and future conferences, incorporating unique logos to distinguish each year under the brand.
National Strategy for Suicide Prevention
The 10-year 2024 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention (National Strategy) and the three-year Federal Action Plan (Action Plan) were developed by a federal Interagency Work Group consisting of over 20 agencies and offices and 10 federal departments. The National Strategy and Action Plan needed multiple visual products and a unified visual look and feel. A graphic featuring radiating lines to symbolize collaboration and progress was selected to create a visual identity for the brand and campaign.
